To improve the quality of life of children and provide enrichment for the senior citizens in our community
Centre Clothes Corner is the League’s largest ongoing project, providing basic wardrobe of essential clothing to underprivileged
children enrolled in the Los Angeles Unified School District. The Volunteer League is currently the only non-profit that provides the complete clothing needs of the LAUSD children grades from K-12. We are proud to have clothed over 2253 children last year and theneed in the community is ever present. The Volunteer League is funded in this project by private companies, foundations, and individuals who believe in our mission of making a difference in the lives of our community.
The Volunteer League’s Choral Music Troupers has been performing for seniors who reside in convalescent or assisted care facilities in the San Fernando Valley for over 50 years. Made up of members of the League, the Troupers perform a diverse repertoire featuring holiday songs as well as old time favorites that are especially popular with the seniors. Year after year, the Troupers have brought enjoyment to over 1500 seniors in our community who might not otherwise have access to live musical performances.
